[Home] [USA 2002-?]

Shortly before Christmas, the third (and last for this year) report.

In the meantime, Boris and I got sick of always carrying the DSL-modem around. But we also didn't want to have a cable through two floors. So Boris bought a wireless DSL-router. Luckily, I could borrow a wireless network card from my company. It works really good (except for one time when we couldn't find the reason).

Last weekend, I've been to New York City, visiting Craig, a friend I met at the Weiterstadt Fimfestival in Germany in August. Exploring the bars in East Village was fun. Craig also filled a gap in my education and showed me the ultimate Christmas special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

My sporting life here slowly assumes shape: Since I didn't find any public indoor swimming pool, I looked for a private one and found one just half a mile away from home. It isn't to cheap, but it assures that I go often to make it cheaper per visit ;-) Furthermore there are free towels, free shower soap, free body lotion, free shaving soap, and free deodorant. Also a bathing suit centrifuge. Quite convenient...

To all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

And, of course, the compulsory X-Mas greeting card.

Happy XMas!
